A Distinguished History

The Dutton Forshaw Motor Company was founded by Richard Dutton-Forshaw in Lancashire in the early 1960s and over the last 45 years has grown from modest roots to become one of the most widely admired names in automotive retailing. Now part of the Lookers Group, the company continues to develop a reputation for professionalism and integrity envied by its competitors.

A Dynamic Business

Headquartered in Bicester, Oxfordshire, the company operates from more than 30 locations nationwide and still trades as Dutton Forshaw across England and Wales - and as Dovercourt Ford in Essex and Dovercourt VW in London.

The company also operates the Kent sales territory for Mercedes-Benz and smart, as well as holding franchises for around a dozen other leading manufacturers, including: Honda, Citroen, Citroen, Chrysler Jeep and MG Rover. Its interests include a major specialist used car business in London, focusing on Audi and other prestige brands.
